There are 3 life events that they say should never happen within the same year. You should only experience one a year in order to maintain a healthy level of stress (eustress the good kind). These events are
1) Moving
2) Having a baby
3) Starting a new job.
I started my new full time job in September. Found out I was pregnant in December. Moved in January.
I thought everything was fine until Wed at work.
I had a migraine Tuesday night. Not being able to take Ibuprofin while pregnant is a real bummer because it is the only thing I have found that helps my headaches. I slept for 15 hours that night (went to bed at 5:30) and woke up the next morning still feeling really yucky. I got to work Wed and made it through the staff meeting. Then went back to my desk and Kathy looked at me and asked "Are you doing ok?" and I just started sobbing. I am sure that the hormones where part of the problem. So we chatted about how I have felt like I have been in a fog the last month and haven't felt like myself. How I am overwhelmed by all that needs to be done at the house and how we don't even have laundry soap. So she sent me home for the rest of the day, and told me to rest, and gave me a container of soap from the church.
I did just what she told me to do. The next morning I went to the chiropractor and that night mom and dad came over with dinner and helped me clean the bathrooms (they were disgusting). Aren't parents wonderful?
I am doing much better today, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We're in!
We have finally moved out of the apartment and into the house. This house is the one we landed in. ( I know, there have been so many houses it is hard to keep track.)
It has been quite a journey.
We signed the papers on on friday morning, and within an hour of leaving the title office they let us know that the Bank failed to sign a document that they needed in order to record the sale.
We waited all day friday to hear if the bank sent in that document.... and they didn't. Of course they didn't, that is how this entire process has gone for us. so that means we could not get the keys until Monday at the earliest. Which would not be good since we have to be completely out of the apartment and have it cleaned by Monday. so....
We may or may not have started moving our things into the house on saturday. We had furniture delivered and washer and dryer and refrigerator delivered.
Then on monday the bank finally got the paper in and it was recorded that evening.
Let me tell you, moving while pregnant and not feeling good is no fun. I was exhausted and I have never had my lower back hurt that badly. Thankfully Sharon (Andrew's mom) came over Monday and helped Andrew clean the entire apartment. HUGE blessing.
While we have everything at the house we are by no means unpacked. We still need to do lots of cleaning and organizing.
Hopefully I will be posting pictures soon.

Dreams
The last couple of nights I have talked in my sleep. I have never done this before. But two nights in a row I have apparently said something to Andrew about catching the tornado or checking the probes (apparently I need to stop watching storm chasers before bed). Then when he responds and asks what I am talking about I get really upset and tell him to stop being ridiculous and that I know what I am talking about, and then proceed to roll over and fall back to sleep. I have no memory of these interactions but Andrew finds them hilarious the next morning.
Dr. Appointment Wednesday. Don't worry I will tell you all about it.

The First Appointment
Yesterday I had my first dr. appointment.
This was more of an "orientation" than a dr appointment. I didn't even see my dr. I got there and checked in, filled out some forms and then they took me back to get my flu shot and blood drawn and a urine sample. They did a quick pregnancy test and said "yep definitely pregnant." The blood test was just to check for diseases and that kind of thing. Just routine. they also told me based on my height and weight, they wanted me to gain between 15-25 pounds.
Then they took me to a room that had a big table with some snacks and a movie playing on loop every 5 min about pregnancy symptoms. I filled out some more paperwork and was eventually joined by 5 other prego's. We then sat through a 90 min presentation about everything you can expect about appointments and pregnancy. Things you should do/eat. Things you should not do/eat.
Next week on the 11th I will meet with Dr. Conger for the first time. He will measure the baby and figure out my due date. He will also do a vaginal ultrasound to find the heart beat. He will also give me the results of my blood test.
As far as symptoms go, I have not thrown up although the thought/smell of some foods makes me feel like it. Cereal has become my best friend. It's the only thing that sounds good right now. I had some spotting on monday. I also have had dull pains/cramps in my lower abdomen which they said was my uterus stretching and pushing against my pelvic bone ( I also think it may just be gas).
