House #2

so last week Andrew and I went to look at a house in Oregon City. It is in the country off of redland road. I don't have any pictures but we liked the house. It is a little bit bigger than the one in West Linn and on 2.5 acres. The house is up on a hill and has kind of a cool view. The previous owners had already begun some updating but there is still many things that Andrew can keep busy with. Not the least of which is the fact that all 2.5 acres are covered in black berry bushes.

We put in an offer and within hours of our offer coming in, another offer was made. So right now we are waiting to hear whose offer was better. I'm not holding my breath.

Right now I am having a hard time figuring out if this is all part of the nature of real estate, or if this is God closing doors because he has something else planned. So all I can do at this point is pray for wisdom and discernment.

Also Andrew is looking for another Job... agian. Parklane is making a lot of changes that are basically taking away all the good aspects of his job. So please be praying about that.

Beginning again

After waiting all day Saturday, we found out that the listing agent hadn't yet showed our offer to the sellers because they were out of town. But they would be coming back into town Monday so Tuesday the sellers would review all the offers.
Tuesday afternoon we found out that there were 3 other offers on the table and 2 of them were higher than ours.
So we are moving on to other houses. I am a little disappointed but for the most part I am ok with it. I really didn't like the house, but I really liked the location and the yard. We have found a couple of houses that we like that are just a little out of our budget. So for right now were are gathering houses we like and just watching to see what they do and if they come down in price at all.

And so it all begins again. What a roller coaster.

36 hours...

So about 2 min after my last post we found out that there was another buyer interested in the house. They had made an offer and the owner had countered. So our agent told us we need to get our best offer together and submit it as soon as possible, because the owner could accept our offer before the other buyer could accept their counter offer.

So after many emails and phone calls our agent emailed the papers to andrew so that while he was at work he could print them and sign them.

2:00 i then drove to lake oswego to pick up the papers and sign them.

2:30 drove to sherwood to meet one of my jr high students

3:30 drove from sherwood to west linn to drop off the papers with our agent

4:20 offer submitted

we made it so that our offer expired today at 5:00pm so that they would respond quickly.

today= waiting and checking my email, and waiting and checking my email.

5:00 has come and gone and no word.

There is still a chance we could hear something but until then I know God has something great for us even if it is not this house.

We got our notification yesterday that we have been approved for the loan!!!!

Next step is to get an offer written and submitted. We are currently working with the agent and will be making an offer as soon as possible.

I can't believe after all this waiting the time is finally here! I am sure as we move forward in this process that God's reasoning for having us wait will come to light.
